Subject knowledge is evident in much of the project.

 

Four of the topics assigned were covered fully and/or min/max requirements fulfilled in terms of the amount of detail needed.

Some subject knowledge is evident.

The layout is visually pleasing (e.g. readable) and is appropriate to convey information in an effective manner with suitable use of all five of the required elements.

There is a logical sequence to the presentation.

Contains at least ten elements or slides.

 

22 -20 points

The layout is mostly visually pleasing (e.g. readable) and is appropriate to convey information in an effective manner with suitable use of four of the required elements.

Contains at least eight elements or slides.

 

 

19 – 15 points

Three of the required elements are present.

Contains at least six elements or slides.

The layout has some challenges in readability.

 

< 15 points

The layout uses two or less of the required elements.

The layout is not readable.

Narration Mechanics

(10 points)

 

Must contain:

Audio or written narration of project

The narration text is spoken with no errors in grammar, capitalization, punctuation, and spelling where applicable.

Note: to receive the full 10 points an audio narration must be used.

9 – 8 points

The narration text is clearly written and audio narration spoken with little or no editing required for grammar, punctuation, and spelling where applicable.

7 – 6 points

Spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors or spoken narration distract or impair readability/ comprehension.

Technical

5 points

Project runs perfectly with no technical problems. For example, there are no error messages, all sound, video, or other files are found.

Project runs adequately with minor technical problems.

Project runs minimally. There are many technical problems when viewing the project.

< 2 points

Project does not run satisfactorily. There are too many technical problems to view the project.

   
Note on citations internal to this presentation: Failure to properly reference facts, figures and other information can result in up to no credit for this assignment and a teachable moment about plagiarism/academic dishonesty.  A second instance may lead to a notice sent to the registrar for academic dishonesty.
